9 months-15 months

Our infant program is designed to foster the daily development of the youngest in our care. Teachers will work with parents to make the transition a smooth and happy time, creating a strong bond and a setting that feels likes family.

Connecting with Infants

The curriculum focuses on responsive care and positive relationships between caregivers and infants, an environment that is nurturing, safe, healthy and inviting for infants and positive relationships with families.

Schedule

Your child's schedule will be followed with more of a classroom schedule added in. Time for group play, outside time, story time, and fun activities are added in as well. Nap times are at 9 am (if needed) and 12 pm.

Classroom Information

Drop Off: Dropping off your child at daycare can be challenging for everyone involved. You and your child may experience separation anxiety and that is normal, but there are ways to overcome that anxiety. There's a chance your child could begin crying or holding on to you. While you'll want to comfort them, it is important to not stay long. Once you leave the room, don't come back in if they begin to cry. Allow the teacher and your child this time to bond. It is important to stay consistent and be specific, keep your promises and create short, fun goodbye routines. The first week in a new class or center will be the hardest. Start now by making a plan and preparing yourself to stick with it from the first day.

Communication: Communication through messages, pictures, videos, and detailed daily logs are all important ways to build the relationship between the teachers and parents and for parents to know how their child is doing throughout the day. We understand the joy that these things can bring you when you're away from your child. It will always be our best effort to communicate with you on a regular and timely manner, but please understand show grace when we can't do that because we are playing with, chasing around, holding, changing diapers,  or giving our undivided attention to the little ones in our class. We will update as soon as possible, sometimes that means when your precious little ones are sleeping.

Diapers: Diapers will be physically checked every hour and change if needed. In the between times, we will rely on the smell check.

Outdoor Play: In this class, children begin having active play outside on the fenced deck (*402.8) or in the stroller. It is important for your child to have shoes on and sunscreen. Sippy cups with water will be taken outside with your child to have as wanted.

Sleeping: Children have two naps, one at 9 am (if needed) and one at 12pm. They are usually transitioning to one nap in this classroom. Children may not have pillows, stuffed animals, bibs, paci holders, thick bedding, necklaces or garments with ties in crib (*1003.6 and 1003.7). If your child is used to sleeping with one of these, we ask that you begin preparing him/her for this transition.

Meals: Most children in this age range are transitioning to table foods. You are welcome to bring food from home or use the food provided by the center. Bottles will be used still as well per the parent's request. A menu is located on our website under the "About Us" tab.

Note from Owner: I am thankful for all of our beautiful differences and the way we all see the world. These differences make for changes going from class to class for your child and you as a parent, but I promise you the one thing that won't change is how much we each love your child and your family. Kindest regards, Brandy.
